For the Musical Director
Set to “Muth Labben.”
A Psalm of David.

I will give thanks to Yahweh with my whole heart. I will recount all your marvelous works.
I will rejoice and exult in you. I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.
When my enemies turn back, they will stumble and perish in your presence.
For you have upheld my justice and my just cause. You sit on the throne judging with righteousness.
You have rebuked the nations. You have destroyed the wicked. You have blotted out their name forever and ever.
The enemy has come to an end in perpetual desolations. And you have uprooted their cities; the very memory of them has perished.
But Yahweh will sit as king forever. He has established his throne for the judgment.
He will judge the world with righteousness; with uprightness He will administer judgment to the peoples.
Yahweh will also be a high tower for the oppressed person, a high tower in times of trouble.
Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, O Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek you.
Sing praises to Yahweh who dwells in Zion, declare among the people what he has done.
For he who avenges blood remembers them, he does not forget the cry of the afflicted.
Have mercy on me, O Yahweh. Look upon my affliction caused by those who hate me, O God who lifts me up from the gates of death,
so that I may recount all your songs of praise. In the gates of Daughter Zion, I will rejoice in your deliverance.
The nations have sunk down in the pit that they made. Their foot has been caught in the net that they hid.
Yahweh has made himself known. He has executed judgment. With the deeds of his hands he strikes down the wicked person. Meditation. Selah.
The wicked will return to Sheol; even all the nations that forgot God.
For the needy will not always be forgotten, nor will the hope of the afflicted perish forever.
Arise, O Yahweh! Do not let humans prevail. Let the nations be judged in your presence.
Put them in terror, O Yahweh. Let the nations know that they are only human. Selah.
