O Yahweh my God, I take refuge in you. Save me from all those who pursue me, and deliver me,
lest he tears apart my soul like a lion, tearing me apart while there is none to deliver.
O Yahweh, my God, if I have done this, if there is injustice in my hands,
if I have done evil to him who was at peace with me or if I have plundered my adversary without cause,
let the enemy pursue my soul and let him overtake it; and let him tread my life down to the earth and lay my glory in the dust. Selah.
Arise, O Yahweh, in your anger. Lift up yourself against the fury of my adversaries. Indeed, arouse yourself, my God. You have commanded judgment.
Let the assembly of the peoples surround you. Sit over them on high.
Yahweh judges the peoples. Vindicate me, O Yahweh, according to my righteousness, and according to my integrity, O Most High.
Now let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous person; indeed, the one who tests the hearts and kidneys is a righteous God.
My shield is borne by God who delivers the upright in heart.
God judges righteously, and he is a God who has indignation every day.
If a person does not repent, God will sharpen his sword; he has bent his bow and prepared it.
He has also prepared for himself the instruments of death. He makes ready his flaming arrows.
Behold, the unrepentant person is pregnant with iniquity. Yes, he has conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.
He digs a hole and hollows it out, but he falls into the pit that he made.
The trouble he causes will return to his own head. Indeed, his violence will come down on the crown of his own head.
I will praise Yahweh according to his righteousness, and will sing praise to the name of Yahweh Most High.
