Psalm 68    

¹God will arise! His enemies will be scattered! Those who hate him will flee from his presence.
  ²As smoke is driven away, so you will drive them away. As wax melts before a fire, so the wicked will perish in the presence of God.
  ³But the righteous will rejoice. They will exalt in the presence of God. Yes, they will celebrate with joy.
  ⁴Sing to God! Make music to his name! Exalt him who rides on the clouds, by saying “Yah is his name!” Yes, rejoice in his presence!
  ⁵A father of orphans and a judge of widows is God in his holy habitation.
  ⁶God causes the lonely to live in a household. He brings out the prisoners into the prosperous land, Surely the stubborn live in a sun-scorched land.
  ⁷O God, when you went out before your people, when you marched through the wilderness… Selah.
  ⁸The earth quaked. Yea, the heavens dropped rain at the presence of God, the One at Sinai, at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
  ⁹You caused the rain to fall plentifully, O God. You established your inheritance when it was weary.
  ¹⁰Your creatures dwelt in it. You prepared, O God, your goodness for the poor.
  ¹¹The Lord gives the command. The women proclaiming good news are a great army:
  ¹²“Kings of armies flee! They flee!” She who waits at home will divide the spoil
  ¹³while you sleep among the sheepfolds. The wings of a dove are covered with silver, her feathers are shining with gold.
  ¹⁴When Shaddai^a scattered kings in the land, it snowed on Zalmon.
  ¹⁵A mountain of God^b is the mountain of Bashan, a mountain with many peaks is the mountain of Bashan.
  ¹⁶Why do you look in envy, O mountains with many peaks, at the mountain where God chooses to dwell? Yea, Yahweh will dwell there forever.
  ¹⁷The chariots of God are ten thousands; repetitions of thousands. The Lord is among them, at Sinai in the holy place.
  ¹⁸You have ascended on high. You have taken captives. You have received tribute from men, yes, even from the rebellious that Yah, God, might dwell there.
  ¹⁹Blessed be the Lord. Day after day he carries our burdens, the God of our salvation. Selah.
  ²⁰God is to us a God of saving acts. Yes, the ways to escape death belong to Yahweh the Lord.
  ²¹Surely God will smite the head of his enemies, the hairy crown of the one who walks around in his offenses.
  ²²The Lord said, “I will bring you back from Bashan, I will bring you again from the depths of the sea,
  ²³so that your foot may bathe in blood, that the tongues of your dogs may have their portion from the enemies.”
  ²⁴They have seen your processions, O God, the processions of my God, my King, into the holy place.
  ²⁵The singers went in front, the players of stringed instruments followed after, in the middle of the young women beating tambourines:
  ²⁶“Bless God in the congregations, O Yahweh, the source of Israel!”
  ²⁷There is Benjamin, the youngest, ruling them, the princes of Judah, their speakers, the princes of Zebulun and the princes of Naphtali.
  ²⁸Your God has commanded your strength. Show your strength, O God who has acted on our behalf.
  ²⁹Because of your Temple at Jerusalem, kings will bring gifts to you.
  ³⁰Rebuke the wild animals of the reeds, the herd of the bulls among the calves of the peoples; trampling underfoot the pieces of silver, he scattered the peoples who delight in wars.
  ³¹Ambassadors will come from Egypt. Ethiopia will quickly lift up her hands to God with tribute.
  ³²Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth! Make music to the Lord! Selah.
  ³³To him who rides on the heaven of heavens, which are ancient; behold, he speaks forth with his voice, a mighty voice.
  ³⁴Ascribe strength to God! His majesty is over Israel, yes, his strength is in the clouds.
  ³⁵You are awesome, O God, in your holy place. The God of Israel himself gives strength and power to his people. Blessed be God!
