O God, you are my God. I will earnestly seek you. My soul thirsts for you. My flesh yearns for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
Yes, I have seen you in the sanctuary; seeing your power and your glory.
For your covenant faithfulness is better than life, so my lips will praise you.
Yes, I will bless you while I live. I will lift up my hands in your name.
My soul will be satisfied as with marrow and fat. My mouth will praise you with joyful lips
when I remember you on my bed; I will meditate on you in the night watches.
For you have been my help. Yes, I will shout for joy in the shadow of your wings.
My soul clings to you. Your right hand supports me.
But those who seek my soul to destroy it will go into the lower parts of the earth.
They will be given over to the power of the sword. They will be the prey of jackals.
But the king will rejoice in God. Everyone who swears by him will boast of him, for the mouth of those who speak lies will be stopped.
