Surely, my soul is quiet for God. My salvation is from him.
Surely, he is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I will never be greatly shaken.
How long will you people attack a man? All of you seek to crush him like a leaning wall would, like a tottering fence?
Surely, they have counseled to throw him down from his lofty position. They delight in falsehood. They bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.
Surely, O my soul, be quiet for God, for my hope comes from him.
Surely, he is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold. I will not be shaken.
With God is my deliverance and my honor. The rock of my strength; my refuge is in God.
Trust in him at all times, O people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us. Selah.
Surely, men of low degree are just a breath, and men of high degree are a lie. In the balances they will go up. They are together lighter than a breath.
Do not trust in oppression. And do not put confidence in robbery. If wealth bears fruit, do not set your heart on it.
God has spoken once; twice I have heard this, that strength belongs to God.
Also to you, O Lord, belongs covenant faithfulness, for you will repay a person according to his work.
