For the Musical Director.
Set to “The Lilies.”
A meditation of the sons of Korah.
A love song.

My heart is stirred up with a noble theme. I recite my deeds for the king. My tongue is the pen of a skilled scribe.
You are the most beautiful of the sons of men. Grace has been poured upon your lips, therefore God has blessed you forever.
Strap your sword on your thigh, O mighty one, in your splendor and your majesty.
Yes, in your majesty ride forth victoriously on behalf of faithfulness, humility, and righteousness. And let your right hand teach you awesome deeds.
Your arrows have been sharpened— let nations fall under you— piercing the heart of the king’s enemies.
Your throne is God forever and ever. A scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom.
You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of exultation above your peers.
All your garments smell of myrrh and aloes and cassia. Out of ivory palaces, stringed instruments have made you glad.
The daughters of kings are among your honorable women. At your right hand the queen stands adorned in gold of Ophir.
Listen, O daughter; and consider and turn your ear. And forget your own people and also your father’s house,
and let the king desire your beauty. Bow down to him, for he is your lord.
The daughter of Tyre will come with a gift. The rich among the people will entreat your favor.
The King’s daughter is all glorious within her chambers. Her clothing is interwoven with gold.
She will be led to the king in colorful garments. The virgins, her friends who follow her, will be brought to you.
With gladness and rejoicing they are to be led. Yes, they will enter into the king’s palace.
Your sons will take the place of your fathers. You will set them up as leaders in all the earth.
I will cause your name to be remembered in all generations. Therefore the peoples will praise you forever and ever.
