Do not be agitated because of evildoers, nor be envious against those who work injustice.
For they will wither quickly like the grass and they will wilt like the green herb.
Trust in Yahweh and do good. Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.
Yes, delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the petitions of your heart.
Commit your way to Yahweh. Yes, trust in him, and he will do it:
he will bring forth your righteousness like the light, and your vindication as the noonday sun.
Keep quiet before Yahweh and wait patiently for him. Do not be agitated because of the one who makes his road prosper; because of the person who carried out wicked plans.
Cease from anger and forsake wrath. Do not be agitated, it leads to evildoing.
For evildoers will be cut off, but those who wait for Yahweh will inherit the land.
Yet a little while and the wicked will be no more. Yes, though you look all over for his place, yet he will not be.
But the humble will inherit the land, and will delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
A wicked person is against the righteous person, and gnashes at him with his teeth.
The Lord laughs at him, for he sees that his day is coming.
The wicked have drawn out a sword, and have bent their bow to cause the afflicted person and poor person to fall; to slaughter those who are upright in their way.
Their sword will enter into their own heart. And their bows will be broken.
Better is a little that the righteous person has than the abundance of many wicked people.
For the arms of the wicked will be broken, but Yahweh supports the righteous.
Yahweh knows the days of the blameless. Their inheritance will be forever.
They will not be ashamed in an evil time. Yes, in times of famine they will be satisfied.
For the wicked will perish. Yes, the enemies of Yahweh will be like the beauty of the fields, they will vanish— vanish like the smoke.
A wicked person borrows and does not repay, but a righteous person shows favor and gives.
For those who are blessed by him will inherit the land. But those who are cursed by him will be cut off.
A man’s steps are established by Yahweh. He delights in his roadway.
If he falls, he will not be hurled down, for Yahweh supports his hand.
I have been young and now am old, yet I have not seen a righteous person forsaken, nor his offspring begging for bread.
All day long he shows favor and lends. And his offspring is blessed.
Turn from evil, and do good. Then live forever.
For Yahweh loves justice, and does not forsake his faithful ones. They are guarded forever, but the offspring of the wicked will be cut off.
The righteous will inherit the land and live in it forever.
The mouth of a righteous person utters wisdom. Yes, his tongue speaks justice.
The law of his God is in his heart. His steps will not waver.
A wicked person spies upon the righteous person and seeks to kill him.
Yahweh will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is brought to trial.
Wait for Yahweh and keep watch over his road, and he will raise you up to inherit the land. When the wicked are cut off, you will see it.
I have seen a wicked person acting violently, flourishing like a luxurious tree in its native soil.
But I passed by, and behold, he was not. Yes, I sought him, but he could not be found.
Watch a blameless person and see the upright, for there is a future for a person of peace.
But those who rebel, they will be destroyed together. The future of the wicked will be cut off.
But the salvation of the righteous is from Yahweh. He is their mountain stronghold in a time of distress.
Yes, Yahweh will help them and deliver them. He will deliver them from the wicked and save them, because they have sought refuge in him.
