I will extol you, O Yahweh, for you have drawn me up and have not made my foes to rejoice over me.
O Yahweh my God, I cried out to you for help, and you have healed me.
O Yahweh, you have brought up my soul from Sheol. You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
Sing praise to Yahweh, O you faithful ones of his. Yes, give thanks to his holy name.
For his anger is but for a moment. His favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes in the morning.
As for me, I said in my tranquility, “I will never be shaken.”
O Yahweh, when you favored me, you made my mountain stand strong; but when you hid your face, I was dismayed.
I cried out to you, O Yahweh. Yes, to the Lord I sought favor:
“What profit is there in my blooda if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it declare your faithfulness?
Hear, O Yahweh, and show me favor. O Yahweh, be my helper.”
You have turned my mourning into dancing for me. You have unwrapped my sackcloth and wrapped my waist with gladness,
in order that my glory will make music to you and will not be silent O Yahweh my God, I will give thanks to you forever!
