Of David.

Blessed be Yahweh, my rock, who teaches my hands for war, my fingers for battle;
my loyal love and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, and he in whom I seek refuge, who conquers a people under me.
O Yahweh, what is man, that you care for him, and the son of man, that you think of him?
Man is like a breath; his days are like a passing shadow.
O Yahweh, spread apart your heavens and come down; touch the mountains that they may smoke.
Flash forth lightning and scatter them; send out your arrows and confuse them.
Stretch out your hand from on high; set me free and deliver me out of great waters, out of the hands of foreigners
whose mouth speaks what is worthless, whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
I will sing a new song to you, O God; on a lyre of ten strings I will sing praises to you.
the one who gives deliverance to kings, who set David his servant free from the evil sword.
Set me free and deliver me out of the hands of foreigners, whose mouth speaks what is worthless, whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
Then our sons in their youth will be like grown-up plants, our daughters like corner pillars hewn for the construction of a palace.
Our granaries are full, producing food of every kind. Our flocks bring forth thousands more, yes, ten thousands in our open fields.
Our cattle are pregnant; there is no problem nor miscarriage nor outcry in our streets.
Blessed are the people who are so situated; blessed are the people whose God is Yahweh.
