A Psalm of David.

 1 O Yahweh, I have called to you; come to me quickly!

 Give ear to my voice when I call to you!

 2 May my prayer be steadfast before you like incense,

 the lifting up of my hands like the evening sacrifice.

3
Set, O Yahweh, a guard on my mouth!

 Keep watch over the door of my lips!

 4 Do not incline my heart to any evil matter,

 to practice wicked deeds

 with men who work iniquity;

 and I will not eat of their delicacies.

 5 Let the righteous person strike me in loyalty;

 yes, let him reprove me;

 it is like oil on the head;

 do not let my head refuse it,

 for my prayer is continually against their evil deeds.

 6 Their judges are thrown down by the sides of the rock,

 and they will hear my words, for they are delightful.

7
“As when one plows and breaks up the earth,

 our bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol.”

8
For my eyes are toward you, O Yahweh the Lord;

 in you I have sought refuge; do not expose my neck.

 9 Keep me from the jaws of the trap that they have set for me,

 yes, from the snares of the workers of wickedness.

 10 Let the wicked fall together into their own snares

 while I pass by.
