A Psalm of David.
1The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt. They have committed abominable acts. There is no one who does good.
2Yahweh looked down from the heavens upon humankind to see if there were any who understand, any who were seeking God.
3They have all turned aside. They have all alike become corrupt. There is none who does good, not even one.
4Do any of the workers of wickedness understand? They devour my people like they devour bread, and they do not call on Yahweh.
5There they are, overwhelmed with dread, for God is with the generation of the righteous.
6You evildoers frustrate the plan of the afflicted person, but Yahweh is his refuge.
7Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When Yahweh restores his captive people Jacob will rejoice and Israel will be glad.
