A Song of Ascents.
1Out of the depths I have called out to you, O Yahweh.
2O Lord, listen to my voice! Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications for favor!
3If you, O Yah, kept track of iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?
4But there is forgiveness with you, therefore you are to be revered.
5I hope for Yahweh, my soul hopes, and for his word I wait.
6My soul waits for the Lord more than the watchmen long for the morning; more than the watchmen for the morning.
7O Israel, wait for Yahweh, for with Yahweh there is covenant faithfulness, and abundant redemption is with him.
8Yes, he himself will redeem Israel from all their iniquities.
