How long, O Yahweh, will you go on forgetting me? How long will you hide your face from me?
How long must I be anxious in my soul, having sorrow in my heart every day? How long will my enemy be exalted over me?
Consider, and answer me, O Yahweh, my God. Enlighten my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death,
lest my enemy says, “I have prevailed over him,” lest my adversaries rejoice when I am shaken.
But I trust in your covenant faithfulness. My heart will rejoice in your salvation.
I will sing to Yahweh, because he has dealt bountifully with me.
