“Often have they treated me with hostility from my youth up,” let Israel now say,
“Often have they treated me with hostility from my youth up, yet they have not prevailed against me.”
The plowers have plowed upon my back; they lengthened their furrows.
Yahweh is righteous; he has cut the rope of the wicked.
Let everyone who hates Zion be put to shame and turned backward.
Let them be like grass upon the housetops that withers before it is pulled up;
with which the reaper does not fill his hand, nor he who gathers grain fill his bosom,
and those who pass by will not say, “May the blessing of Yahweh be upon you; we bless you in the name of Yahweh.”
