A Song of Ascents.
1When Yahweh restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream.
2Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with a ringing cry. Then they said among the nations, “Yahweh has proven himself great in his dealings with them.”
3Yahweh has proven himself great in his dealings with us, and we were glad.
4Restore our fortunes again, O Yahweh, like the streams in the Negev.
5Those who sow with tears will reap with a ringing shout of joy.
6He who goes, goes and weeps, carrying a leather pouch of seed; he will come, come with a ringing cry, carrying his sheaves.
