Bless Yahweh, O my soul! O Yahweh my God, you are very great. You are clothed with splendor and majesty,
covering yourself with light like a cloak, stretching out the heavens like a tent;
who lays the beams of his upper chambers on the waters; who makes the dark clouds his chariot; who travels on the wings of the wind;
who makes the winds his messengers, flaming fires his ministers.
He established the earth upon its foundations, it will not be shaken forever.
You covered it with the deep like a garment. The waters stood above the mountains.
At your rebuke they fled, at the sound of your thunder they hurried away.
The mountains rose, the valleys sank down to the place that you established for them.
You have set a boundary that they may not pass over; they will not return to cover the earth.
He sends forth springs into the valleys; they flow between the mountains;
they give drink to every animal of the field; the wild donkeys quench their thirst.
The birds of the heavens dwell above them. They lift their voices among the branches.
He waters the mountains from his upper chambers. The earth is satisfied with the fruit of your works.
He causes the grass to grow for the cattle and plants for man to tend, so that he may bring forth food from the earth;
wine that makes glad the heart of man, oil to make his face to shine, and food that strengthens the heart of man.
The trees of Yahweh are satisfied, the cedars of Lebanon that he has planted,
where the birds nest, even the stork whose home is in the firs.
The high mountains are for the wild goats; the cliffs are a refuge for the rock badgers.
He made the moon for seasons; the sun knows the place of its setting.
You make darkness and it becomes night, when all the forest animals prowl.
The young lions roar after their prey and seek their food from God.
The sun rises and they withdraw and lie down in their dens.
Man goes forth to his work and to his labor until the evening.
O Yahweh, how many are your works! By wisdom have you made them all; the earth is full of your possessions.
There is the sea, great and spread out, in which are innumerable swarms, both small and large animals.
There the ships sail, and Leviathan, which you created in order to play with him.
These all look to you to give them their food in due season.
You give it to them, they gather it up; you open your hand, they are satisfied with good.
You hide your face, they are terrified; you take away their breath: they die and they return to the dust.
You send forth your spirit: they are created; and you renew the face of the ground.
May the glory of Yahweh endure forever; may Yahweh rejoice in his works!
He looks at the earth and it trembles. He touches the mountains and they smoke.
I will sing to Yahweh as long as I live. I will make music to my God while I have any being.
May my meditation be pleasing to him. I will rejoice in Yahweh.
May sinners perish from the earth and may the wicked be no more. Bless Yahweh, O my soul. Praise Yah!
