1Yahweh reigns! Let the earth rejoice! Let the many islands be glad!
2Clouds and thick darkness are around him. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.
3Fire goes before him and it burns up his adversaries on every side.
4His lightning bolts lit up the world. The earth saw and trembled.
5The mountains melted like wax at the presence of Yahweh, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
6The heavens declare his righteousness. Yes, all the peoples have seen his glory.
7Let all who serve carved images be put to shame; those who boast in their idols. Bow down to him,a all you gods!
8Zion heard and was glad. And the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of your judgments, O Yahweh.
9For you are Yahweh Most High above all the earth. You are greatly exalted above all gods.
10Those who love Yahweh, hate evil! He keeps watch over the souls of his faithful people. He delivers them from the hand of the wicked.
11Light is sown for the righteous, and joy for the upright in heart.
12Rejoice in Yahweh, you righteous people! Yes, give thanks at the recalling of his holiness.
