O God, do not rest. Do not keep silent, and do not be still, O God.
For behold, your enemies roar. Yes, those who hate you have lifted up their head.
They plot a crafty plan against your people. Yes, they conspire against those whom you protect.
They said, “Come, and let’s wipe them out as a nation, that the name of Israel will no longer be remembered.”
For they have conspired together with one heart. They make a covenant against you:
The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab, and the Hagrites;
Gebal and Ammon and Amalek; Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;
Moreover, Assyria has joined with them. They have become the arm to the children of Lot. Selah.
Do to them as you did to Midian, as to Sisera, as to Jabin with the brook Kishon;
who were destroyed at En-dor, they became dung for the earth.
Make their nobles like Oreb and like Zeeb; yes, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
who said, “Let’s possess for ourselves the pastures of God.”
O my God, make them like whirling dust, like stubble before the wind!
Like a fire that burns a forest, and like a flame that sets the mountains on fire,
so you will pursue them with your tempest, and you will terrify them with your storm.
Fill their faces with dishonor, that they may seek your name, O Yahweh.
Let them be put to shame and terrified forever. Yes, let them be ashamed and perish,
that they may know that you alone, whose name is Yahweh, are the Most High over all the earth.
