An inspired utterance is within my heart about the transgression of the wicked person: “There is no fear of God before his eyes.”
For he flatters himself in his own eyes; unable to detect his iniquity and come to hate it.
The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit. He has ceased to be wise and to do good.
He plots wickedness while lying upon his bed. He sets himself on a road that is not good. He does not reject evil.
Your covenant faithfulness, O Yahweh, is in the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches the clouds.
Your righteousness is like the mountains of God. Your judgments are like the great depths. O Yahweh, you will deliver man and animal.
How precious is your covenant faithfulness, O God! Yes, the children of men seek refuge under the shadow of your wings.
They will drink from the abundance of your house. Yes, you will give them to drink from the river of your Eden.
For with you is the fountain of life. In your light will we see light.
Oh extend your covenant faithfulness to those who know you, yes, your righteousness to the upright in heart.
Do not let the foot of pride come against me. Do not let the hand of the wicked drive me away.
The workers of iniquity are there; fallen. They are thrust down and are not able to rise.
