I called to Yahweh in my distress, and he answered me.
O Yahweh, deliver my soul from lying lips; from a deceitful tongue.
What will be rendered to you, and what more will be done to you, O deceitful tongue?
Sharp arrows of a warrior, with burning charcoal of a broom tree.
Woe is me, that I sojourn in Meshech, I dwell among the tents of Kedar!
My soul has had its dwelling too long with one who hates peace.
I am for peace, but when I speak, they are for war.
