The hand of the diligent will rule,
but the slack
hand will become a forced laborer.

“slack.” The Hebrew word is remiyah (#07423 רְמִיָּה), and means slackness; sluggish, lax, negligent, and careless behavior. It occurs 4 times in Proverbs; Proverbs 10:4, 12:24, 27, and 19:15.
