The proverbs of Solomon: A wise son makes his father glad, but a foolish son brings grief to his mother.
Treasures gained by wickedness profit nothing, but righteousness will deliver from death.
Yahweh does not cause the righteous soul to go hungry, but he will push away what the wicked desire.
The poor person makes his palm idle, but a diligent hand makes one rich.
The man who gathers in the summer is an insightful son; the man who is fast asleep at the harvest is a shameful son.
Blessings are upon the head of a righteous person, but the mouth of the wicked conceals wrongdoing.
The memory of a righteous person is a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot.
The wise heart accepts commandments, but the one who is foolish with his lips will come to ruin.
The one who walks blamelessly walks securely, but the one who perverts his ways will be made known.
The one winking his eye causes pain, and the one who is foolish with his lips will come to ruin.
The mouth of a righteous person is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the wicked conceals wrongdoing.
Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers over all transgressions.
Wisdom is found upon the lips of the discerning, but a rod will strike the back of the one lacking sense.
The wise store up knowledge, but the mouth of the unreasonable fool brings destruction near.
The rich person’s wealth is his fortified city; the destruction of the poor is their poverty.
The wage of the righteous person is life; the revenue of the wicked is sin.
The one who heeds sound teaching is on the path to life, but the one who ignores reproof goes astray.
The one hiding his hatred has deceitful lips, and the one spreading slander, he is a fool.
By an abundance of words transgression will not cease, but the one who restrains his lips is insightful.
The tongue of a righteous person is choice silver; the heart of the wicked is worth little.
The lips of a righteous person will shepherd many people, but fools will die for a lack of sense.
The blessing from Yahweh is what makes one rich, and he does not combine pain with the blessing.
Acting indecently is pleasure to a fool, so also is wisdom for a person with discernment.
The wicked person’s horror will come upon him, but the desire of the righteous will be given to them.
When the storm passes through, then the wicked person is no more, but the righteous person has a foundation that endures.
As vinegar is to the teeth and as smoke is to the eyes, so too is the lazy one to those who send him.
The fear of Yahweh adds to one’s days, but the years of the wicked will be cut short.
The hope of the righteous is joy, but the expectation of the wicked will perish.
The road of Yahweh is a safe place for the blameless person, but it is destruction for those who act wickedly.
The righteous person will not ever be moved, but the wicked will not live in the land.
The mouth of a righteous person will bring forth the fruit of wisdom, but the tongue speaking perversions will be cut off.
The lips of a righteous person know what is acceptable, but the mouth of the wicked knows perversions.
