They are to put on it all its utensils with which they serve in connection with it, the fire pans, the flesh hooks, the shovels and the basins, all the utensils of the altar; and they are to spread on it a covering of dugong skin and put in its poles.
“dugong.” A mammal quite like a manatee that lives in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aqaba. See commentary on Exodus 25:5.
