“At that time if someone says to you, ‘Look!, here is the Messiah!,’ or, ‘Here he is!,’ do not believe it.

“Look!” The Greek word is idou (#2400 ἰδού), and it is used to get our attention. See commentary on Matthew 1:20 (“Look!).

“Messiah.” See commentary on Matthew 24:5.
