“will be raised.” The Greek verb is anistēmi (#450 ἀνίστημι ; pronounce an-'hiss-tay-me). Here the verb acts like a passive^a and it means to be raised from the dead. Like many verses say, God raised Jesus from the dead. Although many English translations have the translation “rise again,” that translation is confusing and unnecessary because the verb does not ordinarily mean “rise again” and also because Jesus was never raised before.
