“partners.” The Greek word metochos (#3353 μέτοχος), means “partner,” business partner, companion. It is more than “friends.” Peter was in business with James and John (Luke 5:10). Luke 5:10 uses a different word for “partners,” koinōnos (#2844 κοινωνός), which in the context of business partners has more of a “full sharing” aspect to it and includes sharing in the finances of the business.a
