“Get up! Make the people holy and say, ‘Make yourselves holy for tomorrow, for Yahweh the God of Israel, says, “There is a devoted
thing in the midst of you, Israel. You will not be able to stand before your enemies until you remove the devoted
thing from among you.”
“Make yourselves holy.” The people were to do what it took to make themselves holy in the sight of God (cp. Lev. 11:44).
