Blow the shofar in Zion, and sound an alarm on my holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the Day of Yahweh comes, for it is close at hand:
“shofar.” The ram’s horn trumpet, not the metal trumpet. In this context, it would be blown to warn the people of a coming army.
