“I will gather.” There are many verses that prophesy Israel’s return to the land of Israel, most of which will happen at the first resurrection, the Resurrection of the Righteous (cp. Ezek. 37:12-28). Although Israel did return from Babylon, these prophecies will be fulfilled in the Millennial Kingdom, as is clear from the context (Jer. 23:3-8).
