This is what Yahweh says: Do justice and righteousness; and rescue the one who has been robbed from the hand of his oppressor, and do no wrong nor do violence to the foreigner, the fatherless, or the widow; and do not shed innocent blood in this place.
“righteousness.” In this context, “righteousness” is doing what is right to God and others (see commentary on Matt. 5:6). This verse lists some ways we can be just and righteous toward others.
