Isaiah 34:5, REV Bible and Commentary

For my sword will drink its fill in the heavens.
Behold, it will come down on Edom
and on the people I have devoted to destruction.

“will drink.” This is the prophetic perfect like Isaiah 34:2 (see commentary on Isa. 34:2).
