Joseph found favor in his eyes, and he attended him. And Potiphar made him overseer over his house and put all that he had into his hand.
“And Potiphar made.” The Hebrew uses the pronoun “he” instead of Potiphar, but that is confusing when brought into English. Some other English versions make that change for clarity (cp. NIV).
