But he hesitated. So the men grabbed his hand, and his wife’s hand, and his two daughters’ hands, because Yahweh was merciful to him; and they brought him out and set him outside the city.
“merciful.” The Hebrew word is chemlah (#02551 חֶמְלָה), and it means “mercy, pity, compassion.”
