Like the Anakim, they also are regarded as Rephaim, but the Moabites call them Emim. Bible see other translations

“the Anakim.” The Anakim were descendants of Anak, who was one of the Nephilim (Num. 13:33), and thus they were related to the Rephaim, the descendants of Rapha (Joshua left some in the Philistine country (Josh. 11:22), cp. 2 Sam. 21:16, 18, 20, 22).
