You are not to let it seem hard in your eyes when you send him out free from you, for double of the hire of a hired hand he has served you six years, and Yahweh your God will bless you in all that you do.
“for double of the hire of a hired hand he has served you six years.” If the master had hired a worker instead of having the slave for six years it would have cost him twice as much.
