“When you reap your harvest in your field and have forgotten a sheaf in the field, you are not to go again to get it; it is to be for the foreigner, for the fatherless and for the widow, that Yahweh your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.
“it is to be for the foreigner, for the fatherless and for the widow.” God has great concern for the poor and disadvantaged. He commands to leave food for the poor in several places (cp. Lev. 19:9-19; 23:22; Deut. 24:19).
