Also he made a sea of cast metal, ten cubitsc from brim to brim, circular in form, and its height was five cubitsd and a line of thirty cubitse in circumference.
Under it was the likeness of oxen that encircled it for ten cubits, encircling the sea. The oxen were in two rows, cast when it was cast.
It stood on 12 oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east, and the sea was set on top of them, and all their hindquarters were inward.
It was a handbreadth thick and its brim was worked like the brim of a cup, like the flower of a lily; it received and held 3,000 baths.
He made the ten menorahs of gold in the way prescribed for them, and he set them in the temple, five on the right hand and five on the left.
He made also ten tables and placed them in the Holy Place, five on the right hand and five on the left. He made 100 basins of gold.
Also, he made the courtyard of the priests, and he made the great court and doors for the court, and he overlaid their doors with bronze.
He set the sea on the right side of the house at the southeast corner.
Huram made the pots and the shovels and the basins.
So Huram finished doing the work that he did for king Solomon on the house of God:
the two pillars and the bowls, and the two capitals that were on the top of the pillars, and the two latticeworks for covering the two bowl-shaped capitals that were on the top of the pillars,
and the 400 pomegranates for the two latticeworks, two rows of pomegranates for each latticework for covering the two bowl-shaped capitals that were on the top of the pillars.
He made the stands, and he made the basins that were on the stands,
and the one sea, and the 12 oxen under it.
Huram his chief-craftsman also made the pots, the shovels, the forks, and all the vessels for king Solomon for the house of Yahweh of polished bronze.
The king cast them in the plain of the Jordan, in clay molds between Succoth and Zeredah.
Solomon made all these vessels in great abundance, so the weight of the bronze was not measured.
Solomon made all the vessels that were in the house of God, the golden altar, and the tables with the Bread of the Presence on them
and the menorahs with their lamps, to burn them in the way prescribed in front of the Holy of Holies, of pure gold;
and the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs of gold, of purest gold;
and the snuffers, and the sprinkling-bowls, and the spoons, and the fire pans, of pure gold. And as for the entrance of the house, the inner doors of the Holy of Holies and the doors of the main hall of the temple were of gold.
