When they were at the great stone that is in Gibeon, Amasa came to meet them. Joab was clothed in his apparel of war that he had put on, and on it was a sash with a sword fastened on his waist in its sheath, and as he went out it fell out. Bible

“the great stone that is in Gibeon.” This is likely a large standing-stone that was set up there. However, the Bible does not say who set it up or when. The Gibeonites were Hivites (Josh. 11:9), and Joshua made a covenant with them to let them live (Josh. 9). [For more on standing-stones, see commentary on Gen. 28:18].
