and take the ark of Yahweh and lay it on the cart and put the objects of gold that you are returning to him for a trespass offering in a chest by its side, and send it away, that it may go away.
“send it away, that it may go away.” This is the same basic language that was used of the Egyptians sending Israel out of Egypt (1 Sam. 6:6).
